Perseus Mining Limited became a multi-mine, multi-jurisdiction gold producer in January 2018 when it poured first gold at its Sissingué Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire. Sissingué is Perseus’ second gold mine, having previously developed the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana.
The Sissingué Gold Project in the Northern Côte d’Ivoire is adjacent to the Mali boarder and approximately 100 km north of the capital Abidjan.
Gold production at Sissingué commenced in January 2018. The project was ramped up to nameplate capacity in less than 2 weeks, followed immediately by the successful completion of performance testing and handover to operations. First gold was poured ahead of schedule and the project was completed under budget.
Lycopodium was appointed EPC contractor following completion of the Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
