Cameron Gold Project

Americas, Canada
The Cameron Gold project is based around the Cameron and West Cedartree properties, 80 kilometres south-east of Kenora, Ontario.

The scope of work included a number of option studies related to the process flowsheet, metallurgy, process plant and infrastructure design, and preliminary economic evaluation as well as coordination and compilation of the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) and NI 43-101 Technical Report.

Conceptual project development was based around an initial open pit and later underground development feeding a 1 Mtpa process plant based on a conventional three-stage crushing/ball mill and carbon-in-leach (CIL) flowsheet.

The project is located close to existing power lines (28 kilometres), regional roads (22 kilometres) and accommodation facilities (50 kilometres).

Project Improvements:

Early option studies favoured a simple CIL flowsheet rather than flotation and fine grinding of the concentrate, despite a slightly lower recovery.

Low complexity fit-for-purpose plant and infrastructure designed to contain development costs.
